Updated August 2026 · Check official rules again before shipping
ThaiFanShip can forward eligible Thai merchandise from Bangkok to mainland China where a supported service is available. Use your Thai address or Buy For Me, then consolidate only after checking the recipient and product requirements for the chosen carrier.
How to ship from Thailand with ThaiFanShip
- 1Create an account and receive your personal Bangkok warehouse address.
- 2Buy from the Thai seller yourself, or submit the item through Buy For Me.
- 3Register incoming parcels and wait for the selected orders to arrive.
- 4Request photos or packing protection where useful, then select parcels to consolidate.
- 5Enter the destination and review the live packed quote for currently available tracked services.
- 6Provide truthful customs information, pay the invoice, and track the shipment to your door.
Mainland China personal postal rules
- China Customs says inbound personal postal articles must be in reasonable quantities for personal use.
- Its English guidance states a RMB1,000 value limit per mailing for personal articles sent from places other than Hong Kong and Macao, with a RMB500 duty-free allowance.
- Goods above the applicable allowance can be assessed import duty, while a parcel outside the personal-use or value scope may require a different import procedure.
- Prohibited and restricted goods, medicines, food, plant or animal products, publications, and other controlled articles can require approval or be refused.
- The carrier may request the recipient's Chinese ID details, phone number, purchase evidence, or additional customs documents before clearance.
Prepare before shipping to mainland China
- Confirm that the carrier accepts the exact destination, recipient identity, and product type
- Use a reachable mainland Chinese phone number and matching consignee information
- Retain invoices and declare each item's actual description, quantity, and value
- Do not consolidate until controlled-product and total-value requirements have been checked
Collector parcels and personal-use quantity
A small collection of albums, books, photocards, or acrylic goods can still be questioned if identical quantities appear commercial. Group-order hosts should not assume a large multi-member box qualifies as one recipient's personal postal articles; confirm the import route before dispatch.
Official customs sources
Rules, thresholds, carrier procedures, and government measures can change. The destination authority—not ThaiFanShip—makes the final import decision.
Frequently asked questions
Can I send any parcel below RMB1,000?
No. The value limit does not override personal-use quantity, prohibited-goods, restricted-goods, or carrier requirements.
Will the recipient need Chinese identification?
Possibly. The courier or postal operator may request identity and purchase information for customs clearance, so confirm the required format before shipment.
Can I send a large group order as a personal parcel?
Do not assume so. Repeated items or commercial-looking quantities may fall outside reasonable personal use and require another import process.
